Glimmer Books
Glimmer is a reactive game language that compiles to readable Z80 assembly. You declare a program's state, inputs and rules, write the behaviour in small blocks of assembly, and Glimmer generates the frame loop, input polling, change tracking and display support around them.
Books
- Glimmer Book 1 — Reactive Programming for Z80 Games introduces the reactive model through focused programs, then combines the language's state, timing, structure and card system in Canvas.
- Glimmer Book 2 — Building Complete Z80 Games builds Skyfall, studies Tetro and moves from the 8x8 matrix to a complete TMS9918 game.
The Glimmer reference serves both books.
